5th Grade Writing Prompts
Go to the link above and choose one idea (writing prompt) off of the list. Follow the steps of Writer's Workshop- start with a graphic organizer and then start your 1st draft. Choose something off the list you find easy to write about- make it fun!

THINGS I CAN'T STAND
- Cut out web
- Use 2 pieces of tape and place it in WRITING IDEAS section
- Fill out web (things that you don't like or that annoy you. Please don't mention personal names)
WHAT'S IN MY HEAD??
1) CAREFULLY cut out your picture
2) Turn it over and using a marker, trace the edge
3) Using a PENCIL, please write what you are thinking about right now
4) Write your name in BIG letters
5) Use different letter shapes and directions (use computer fonts to help you)
6) Get it checked by Mrs. Reeve
7) Trace words with colored pens/small markers/colored pencils
8) Glue on colored paper
